e-Transfer limits by bank: your bank caps the deposit, not the casino

The largest Interac deposit you can make at a casino is set by your bank, not by the casino. Each bank publishes its own daily, weekly and monthly send limits, or keeps them inside the app. Here they are, from the banks' own pages.

Interac e-Transfer limits are set by each financial institution. Interac's own consumer FAQ says so, and it is why the same casino deposit goes through for one player and fails for another. If you plan a larger deposit, your bank's limit is the first number to know.

We read the banks' own pages on 9 October 2026. Where a bank's site would not open, we note figures taken from a search extract of that bank's page.

Request Money, which casino cashiers use

The Terdersoft casinos' Canadian cashier asks for your Interac-linked email or phone, which is the request flow: the casino requests, you approve in your banking app.

BankRequest Money
CIBC, Simpliiup to 10,000 per request, 200 active requests
RBC10,000 per request, 25 at a time
ATB3,000 per request
National Banknot offered to personal clients; can accept requests
Desjardinscan receive requests

Fulfilling a request uses your send limit, so the table above is still the ceiling.

Planning a larger deposit

Our arithmetic at CIBC: 3,000 in 24 hours and 10,000 in 7 days means a CA$12,000 bankroll takes more than a week to fund by e-Transfer alone. If you need more, an e-wallet funded by Interac, or crypto, avoids stacking up days; see casino payment methods. Bank pages for the largest banks: RBC, TD, CIBC, Scotiabank and Desjardins.

Every cashier is compared on our Interac casino Canada page.

Questions and answers

What is the Interac e-Transfer limit per day?

It depends on your bank. From the banks' own pages: CIBC, Simplii and Tangerine 3,000 per 24 hours; National Bank 4,000 per 25 hours; Desjardins 5,000; RBC up to 10,000 a day in its app. TD and Scotiabank show your limit only in online banking.

Can I raise my e-Transfer limit for a casino deposit?

At most banks we read, no: RBC, Tangerine, National Bank and Desjardins say the limit cannot be changed. Scotiabank lets you adjust it in the app under Manage transaction limits, or by calling for a higher limit.

Does Request Money count against my limit?

Yes. Simplii states that fulfilling a request counts against your send limits, and the casino request flow used by the Terdersoft cashiers is a request you approve in your banking app.
