Inactivity fees are monthly charges on accounts nobody has used for a while. Casinos justify them as the cost of keeping a dormant account open; for a player who simply forgot a balance, they work like a slow leak. The same applies to the e-wallets and vouchers you may use to pay.
We read the dormant-account clauses on 9 October 2026.

Casino rules

| Casino | Inactive after | Fee | Then | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iWild Casino | 6 months | 5% of the balance a month, up to 100 USD | balance confiscated after 48 months | T&C 9.1, 9.4 |
| Hellspin | 12 consecutive months | 10 EUR a month, or the remaining balance if lower | FAQ: accounts not logged into for 3 months are blocked automatically | T&C 17, FAQ |
Our arithmetic for a 200 USD balance left at iWild: from month 7, about 10 USD a month at first, shrinking as the balance shrinks; after two years well over half is gone, and at month 48 the rest is taken. At Hellspin, a 200 EUR balance lasts 20 months of fees once the 12-month clock has run, so 32 months in total.
The Terdersoft casinos, Slotsgem and VegasNova did not show their terms to us, so their dormant rules are unknown. Assume a fee exists until you have read otherwise.
Wallet and voucher rules
| Method | Inactive after | Fee | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skrill | 6 months without login or transaction | EUR 5 a month | skrill.com fees |
| Neteller | 6 months without login or transaction | USD 5 a month | neteller.com fees |
| MuchBetter | inactive account | USD 5 or equivalent a month | muchbetter.com fees |
| MiFinity | 12 months | EUR 1 a month | mifinity.com fees |
| Neosurf | voucher not used once every 3 months | 3 a month in local currency | Neosurf terms (France) |
| Paysafecard | unused PIN credit | 2.50 CAD a month from the 19th month | paysafecard.com en-ca |
| Flexepin | after the use-by date | monthly charge, amount not stated | flexepin.com FAQ |
Paysafecard's Canadian FAQ uses different wording, a fee if a PIN is not fully redeemed within one month, which conflicts with the 19th-month rule on its fees page. Spend vouchers soon after you buy them.

Three habits that prevent the leak
- Withdraw when you stop. A balance in a casino is not savings. If you are taking a break, withdraw first; most casinos have a minimum withdrawal, such as 10 EUR at Hellspin or 25 USD at iWild, so small leftovers are worth playing down or leaving consciously.
- Close what you will not use. Ask support to close the account. Hellspin charges 12.50 EUR for a manual bank transfer when an account is closed with funds (T&C), so withdraw by your normal method first.
- Keep one wallet active. If you use an e-wallet for casino payments, log in now and then; six months passes quickly.
If a fee has already been charged
Contact support, ask which clause applied and when, and ask for the history of charges. If you were blocked rather than dormant, as under Hellspin's three-month rule, ask support to unblock the account and confirm in writing that no dormant fee has been charged.

Questions and answers
- Do online casinos charge for inactive accounts?
Many do. Hellspin charges 10 EUR a month (or the remaining balance if lower) after 12 consecutive months of inactivity (T&C 17). iWild Casino charges 5% of the balance a month, up to 100 USD, after 6 months, and confiscates the balance after 48 months (9.1, 9.4).
- How do I avoid an inactivity fee?
Withdraw your balance when you stop playing, or log in and make a transaction before the inactivity period ends. Close the account through support if you will not return.
- Do e-wallets charge inactivity fees too?
Yes. Skrill charges EUR 5 a month and Neteller USD 5 a month after 6 months without a login or transaction; MuchBetter USD 5 a month on inactive accounts; MiFinity EUR 1 a month after 12 months.
