The edge is quoted on the ante, while you often stake more than the ante on a hand, so the cost per unit actually bet is lower. The bigger point is the spread between games: Caribbean Stud costs more than twice what Casino Hold'em does for the same ante. Side bets such as the bonus or progressive bet carry much higher edges and are where most of the cost hides.
Live poker tables
