The network: slow by crypto standards
Bitcoin produces a block every 10 minutes on average. Exchanges and casinos wait for several confirmations, so a BTC deposit or payout typically takes from 10 minutes to an hour after it is sent. Tron, Solana and Litecoin are much quicker; see Litecoin and USDT. Network fees on Bitcoin also rise when the network is busy, which makes small BTC transactions expensive at times.
The price risk
A balance held in BTC changes value in Canadian dollars every minute. Over a few days that movement can be larger than the house edge of a whole session. Our arithmetic: a CA$1,000 balance in BTC that falls 5% in price while you play has lost CA$50 before any bet. At a 96% slot, that is the expected cost of CA$1,250 of spins. It can go the other way too; either way, it is a second bet you did not choose.
