What a race prize is worth
Our arithmetic on Hellspin's Hellfire Race, using its own rules: to earn 1,000 points you must wager 1,000 EUR on slots at 2 EUR or more per spin. At a 96% slot, that costs about 40 EUR in expectation. First prize is 100 EUR. If 1,000 points were enough to win, the race would be a good deal; whether it is depends entirely on how many others are playing in that 8-hour window, which you cannot see in advance.
The minimum bet matters as much as the prize. At 2 EUR a spin, the race is not open to low-stakes players at all; a 20-cent player earns no points.
